A shadowy presence dubbed the 'Big Gete Star' latches onto New Namek, draining its power and threatening all Namekians. Dende, Earth's newly appointed protector, discovers the crisis in his native world and swiftly summons Gokuu Son along with his allies for assistance.
When they reach New Namek, they learn that the Namekians are imprisoned by a legion of formidable robots, with Cooler at their helm. He reveals that the cutting‑edge technology of the Big Gete Star saved him from a fate that would have been fatal. Together with his mechanical forces, Cooler launches an assault on Gokuu and his companions to eliminate them forever, to seize the planet and its resources.
