The series of all time and peoples, the founder of the shonen genre. Based on this masterpiece, Shaman King, One Piece, Naruto and other series that have filled our hearts were created. Incredible adventures, gripping battles, delightful and sometimes spicy humor—all in balance. I must note that the series has an old‑style illustration, but this gives it a mysterious aura that captivates from the very first minute.
Plot. At first glance it looks like a children"s series, but the more you watch, the more you realize that it resembles modern shonen. Countless battles, a search for self, spicy or absurd situations, the strength of spirit and loyal friends, incredible adventures.
It all began when a girl named Bulma found a sphere in the basement. The girl, though a "blonde" by nature (naïve and flying in the clouds), is brilliantly smart. She decided to learn more about the found sphere. It turned out that it was a Dragon Pearl with incredible power, able to grant any wish. But there are seven such pearls in nature, and to fulfill a wish you must collect them all.
In her search for the pearl, Bulma meets a boy living high in the mountains named Son Goku. Goku is a very strange boy; compared to ordinary people he has a tail like a monkey and he is very strong. He isn"t bright, never went to school, was raised only by his grandfather and met no one else. But before dying, the grandfather bequeathed him the sphere and told him to keep it safe.
Bulma meeting such a simpleton decided to "lend" the pearl forever. Goku didn"t give it. Then Bulma offered Goku to travel with her around the world collecting pearls, also protecting her as his grandfather told him and training in martial arts. Thus began this epic. It would have ended at episode 13 if Goku had not met the great Mutena Roshi (Turtle Hermit), a master of martial arts and an incredible pervert. From this point begins the true adventure, eternal battles, search for great power to protect Earth and friends, strength of faith and friendship.
