In May 2018, V‑Jump revealed a promotional anime for Dragon Ball Heroes, the Japanese arcade and card‑game franchise. The videogame was later ported to Nintendo Switch for Western markets, while the card edition is titled Dragon Ball Super TCG and merged with its Japanese counterpart. The series is slated to be brief and unlikely to air on television. It covers the game's Prison Planet storyline, as well as the manga arcs Big Bang Mission and Ultra God Mission, all fully explored in the Heroes manga issued by Saikyou Jump, though they belong to two distinct canons. No official English releases exist. Episode one premiered on July 1, 2018 in Aeon Lake Town.
