While Gokuu Son and his companions were enjoying a camping trip, three unknown assailants launched an attack. A brief skirmish ensued before a fourth fighter, Cooler, entered the battle. Driven by vengeance for his younger brother Frieza's defeat, Cooler launched an assault on Gokuu; nevertheless, the latter evaded capture alongside Gohan Son and fled into concealment. Frustrated by this setback, Cooler and his cohort set out to locate Gokuu and eliminate him, fulfilling their revenge agenda.
