Emperor Pilaf finally secures the Black Star Dragon Balls after years of pursuit, rumored to possess double the power of Earth's ordinary orbs. Pilaf is poised to command world conquest when Gokuu Son interrupts him, causing a chaotic scramble. Consequently, Pilaf mispronounces his wish and inadvertently reverts Gokuu to childhood.
Once the wish materializes, the Black Star Dragon Balls disperse throughout the cosmos, scattering across distant star systems. Yet Gokuu realizes they will trigger Earth's annihilation unless all are reclaimed within twelve months, or the planet will crumble into dust before the final.
Joining forces with granddaughter Pan and adult Trunks, Gokuu embarks on a galactic quest to recover the Black Star Dragon Balls before time runs out, hoping to avert planetary doom and restore balance.
