Years after his father is vanquished by a teenage Gokuu Son, Magenta sets out to avenge himself against Gokuu's kin and supporters. To revive the dormant Red Ribbon Army, he enlists Dr. Hedo, the grandson of the notorious scientist Dr. Gero. Hedo is persuaded to create a new generation of heroic androids aimed at destroying Gokuu, as Magenta convinces him that Earth's greatest defenders are in fact extraterrestrial foes.
While Gokuu and Vegeta hone their skills on another planet, the alien Piccolo trains Pan, Gokuu"s young granddaughter, just as he once guided Gohan Son, her father. Gohan has abandoned his fighting heritage to pursue a scholarly path. When the quiet routine of Piccolo and Gohan is shattered by the arrival of Gamma 1-gou and Gamma 2-gou—Hedo"s latest androids—both must spring into action.
Although the Gamma units think they are upholding justice, a darker scheme is brewing beneath the Red Ribbon base. Gohan and Piccolo take decisive steps to shield Pan and protect Earth from this new mechanized threat.
