After receiving a missive from the notorious thief Kaitou Kid, celebrated actress Juri Maki turns to private investigator Kogorou Mouri for assistance in safeguarding the Star Sapphire—the so‑called "Jewel of Destiny" believed to embody faith, fate, and hope. Believing he has cracked Kid"s puzzle, Kogorou arrives in person at the brand‑new space theater where Juri is performing in "Josephine" to apprehend Kid mid‑performance.
The following day, Juri invites Conan and his companions to her vacation house to commemorate the defeat of Kid"s scheme and the play"s triumph. Yet their victory shatters when a homicide transpires aboard the flight en route. Though accidental, this incident triggers a chain of events that spiral into disaster. Conan and Kid—unlikely partners—must collaborate to protect their friends and all passengers on the aircraft.
