The rolling slopes of Koumi Island are among the many attractions that draw visitors to its coast—second only to its vivid coral reefs and the tale of Anne Bonnie and Mary Read. The exhibit that displays the cutlass and pistol owned by the audacious pirate pair greatly boosts tourism on this tiny island.
During a visit, renowned detective Kogorou Mouri is accompanied by his daughter Ran, her close friend Sonoko Suzuki, the Detective Boys, and young sleuth Conan Edogawa. A room‑mix‑up at the hotel brings them into contact with treasure seekers, exposing them to the island"s obsession with loot. Assigned their own quest, the Detective Boys comb the island; meanwhile, in rougher waters, Conan stumbles upon a homicide. Police, following a lead from a recent burglary, arrive shortly thereafter, and Koumi descends into disorder.
What ensues is a frantic scramble by both the treasure hunters and local residents to claim Anne and Mary"s missing treasure. Yet throughout, Conan, Kogorou, and the police pursue a prize far more valuable than gold—justice.
