Diana extends an invitation to Kogorou and Ran for a trip to London, yet Conan is barred from traveling under his alias. Ai supplies him with a provisional countermeasure, enabling him to assume the identity of Kudou Shin'ichi. Together with Professor Agasa, they board a flight bound for London.
Back in Japan, Ai resides with Ayumi. Close to their flat, a shady figure in black named Kurokawa Youji has been hunting and now locates Ai. Soon after, Mitsuhiko spots a photo in a magazine of an international actress called Grace Aihara who bears an uncanny resemblance to Ai. Conan contacts Mitsuhiko, forebodingly telling him to keep Ai away from the professor"s home. Consequently, Mitsuhiko and Genta set out to shield Ai.
