His plan is to pilfer the gem while the monarch travels Tokyo‑Osaka train, yet the jewel has already been hidden inside the carriage. The crystal is rumored to have an enchantment protecting it from ordinary theft, forcing Kid to rely on his cunning and gadgets. Conan, famed for deduction, immediately suspects Kid and starts piecing clues from the carriage's footage. Inspector Nakamori has set up a covert observation post in the dining car to anticipate any sudden moves by the thief now.
