One day Mori Kogoro"s private detective office receives a blackmail call. The caller, however, has dialed the wrong number. Conan immediately recognizes the voice on the line; it sounds strikingly similar to that of his old friend Heiji, a high‑school detective based in Osaka. The blackmail message demanded a ransom, but the caller"s voice was unmistakably familiar. Heiji and Conan today reunite for the investigation of the case and recover the missing jewel.
They are not the only ones after this treasure. The infamous thief Kaitou Kid has also taken a keen interest in the 100,000,000‑yen item. It falls to Heiji and Conan to outwit the culprit, foil the thief"s plan, and secure the gem before anyone else.
