Shibuya in Tokyo is alive with Halloween festivities. At Shibuya Hikarie, a wedding ceremony unfolds as Sato wears her bridal gown. While Conan and the other guests observe, an attacker rushes in; Takagi attempts to shield Sato and is wounded. He survives and the crisis ends, yet Sato sees a grim reaper figure—one she first witnessed when Jinpei Matsuda, her former love, was killed in a bombing spree three years earlier—merged with Takagi"s image.
Meanwhile the bomber escapes custody. Public safety officer Rei Furuya, also known as Toru Amuro, tracks the man who killed his classmate, only to be confronted by a masked figure who places a collar bomb on him.
Conan travels to the underground refuge where Amuro is concealed, disarms the collar device, and learns of a past incident: three years ago he and his now‑deceased academy peers faced an unknown virtual bomber called "Plamya" in Shibuya. As Conan and his allies probe deeper, a menacing shadow gathers.
