At the summer festival five years past, two girls encountered a mysterious tree and witnessed two luminous orbs. Presently, these same girls—Saki Hyuuga, the top pitcher of the school softball squad; and Mai Mishou, who favors drawing over stargazing—are selected by the flower spirits (Flappy) and bird spirits (Choppy) to renew the Seven Fountains and rescue their realms from Dark Autumn. Together, they become the NEW Pretty Cure.
