Long ago, the release of a chest called the 'Axia' unleashed the long‑sealed members of the Phantom Empire into existence, shattering silence. To shield humanity from these malicious foes against their onslaught, heroes known as Precure emerged, their daring deeds earning them worldwide fame on television. Hime Shirayuki, the princess of the kingdom where the Axia was kept, is one such hero who becomes 'Cure Princess' to confront monsters summoned by the Empire, realm. Yet Hime"s shy nature frequently hinders her ability to repel attackers. Angered by misfortune and eager to find a Precure ally, Hime meets Megumi Aino, an upbeat adolescent whose cheerful spirit brightens dark moments. When a general of the Phantom Empire confronts them, Hime struggles against his assault her resolve grows with each challenge. Determined to defend her new companion, Megumi unleashes her dormant power—transforming into 'Cure Lovely.' Together, they aim to safeguard the planet and form a fresh Precure unit called the 'Happiness Charge Precure,' for the greater good, embarking on a quest to love as they grow bonds and inner strength.
