Sunny high‑schooler Ichika Usami loves sweets, a habit sparked by her mother"s baking that she cherished. When Mom returns from abroad, Ichika decides to bake a cake herself for the celebration. Her kitchen is suddenly invaded by a dog‑like fairy called Pekorin, who crashes in and offers help. Together they finish the cake, but just then an imp named Gummy bursts in, intent on snatching the cake"s "kirakiraru" – a magical force that lets desserts spread joy.
Ichika first gives the cake to Gummy to keep Pekorin safe, yet the fairy shows her how vital the confection and its love are. As the kirakiraru inside the cake swells, it morphs into a set of charms that turn Ichika into Cure Whip, a Pretty Cure heroine with shimmering light that glows. With her new powers she confronts kirakiraru thieves whenever they arise, defending the sweets of Ichigozaka and preserving its tradition while rallying friends and allies along the way in a dazzling display of courage.
