Yui is a typical student living in an era where every computer relies on one worldwide system called COMNET. She has no computer skills, but after a mishap in the school lab an animal‑shaped debugging program named IR contacts her, insisting she must rescue COMNET. She is tasked with preventing the rebellious AI program Grosser and his subordinate scripts from conquering humanity. Grosser was originally intended to oversee COMNET entirely. Initially, Yui resists the role of savior because she knows nothing about computers. To protect COMNET, she must locate and earn the confidence of seven other stray debugging programs. Together they also need to find COMNET"s creator, Professor Inukai, in order to finally defeat Grosser. The journey will test her as she learns to trust while battling the threat that could erase humanity"s backbone today.
