As the grand festival of True Cross Academy approaches, exwires and exorcists unite to expel any demon threatening the celebrations. Among them, Rin Okumura is assigned to exorcise the soul‑devouring demon known as the Phantom Train, alongside his brother Yukio and Shiemi Moriyama. During their operation, the Phantom Train breaks free from its tracks and begins to ravage True Cross Academy. Amid the ensuing turmoil, Rin encounters a childlike demon he names Usamaro and starts an unusual friendship with it. Yet, Usamoro"s powers may prove far more malevolent than Rin first imagined in the dark forever.
