Kazamatsuri is a contemporary, thriving metropolis celebrated for its expanding greenery and deep Japanese heritage. Within this city lives Kotarou Tennouji, a high‑school student largely unaware of its collective ideals. The proud, inquisitive youth spends his days filling his pockets with trivialities, teasing the self‑styled delinquent Haruhiko, and harboring a crush on the eccentric Kotori.
Kotarou possesses a supernatural gift that lets him permanently alter any part of his body to boost strength or speed, naturally pulling him toward the occult. A fortuitous encounter with Akane Senri, the sole member and president of the Occult Research Club—known as the "Witch"—sparks Kotarou"s decision to resurrect the club. He brings together Kotori and three new members: the awkward transfer student Chihaya, the stern class representative Lucia, and the modest Shizuru.
