Yoshiko Hanabatake is a fool beyond all comprehension. She somehow manages to keep getting zeroes on every test while being utterly obsessed with bananas, and her nonsensical deeds have driven even her mother to despair. Only one person can keep her madness in check: childhood friend Akuru 'A-kun' Akutsu. Though he laments the absurd antics he must tolerate, the diligent yet intimidating A-kun is always prepared to stop any of Yoshiko's foolishness and will not hesitate to use physical force. Nevertheless, no matter how many times he tries to instill some sense in her, she rebounds back into her usual pranks, often dragging a handful of other eccentrics along. Every moment with Yoshiko and her deep foolishness is unpredictable, no matter how he attempts to curb it. His patience is tested daily as she flits from one absurd scheme to the next, always surprising him with a new bizarre idea for him.
