Shintaro Kuroda, a destitute senior at a local high school, devotes himself to securing the prestigious VIP award—a scholarship that would pay for all his university tuition. Recognizing his perseverance, the principal grants him this esteemed prize.
The scholarship comes with a single stipulation: he must coach the school's prodigies in their weakest disciplines. His new cohort includes mathematics savant Akira Tanaka, who aspires to explore the humanities; literary icon Yuna Saito, eager to delve into science; and Kuroda's childhood sports buddy, Ryoichi Matsumoto, who struggles in every other subject. Meanwhile, he also balances his own coursework and part-time job to support himself daily.
The series "We Can't Study" chronicles Kuroda"s attempts to instruct his three idiosyncratic students through bizarre and humorous episodes. Yet as Tanaka"s and Saito"s goals clash with their natural strengths, can Kuroda guide them toward realizing their aspirations?
