Suzuka

Teenage Yamato Akitsuki has relocated from rural Hiroshima to Tokyo to start his high‑school journey. He finds the city overwhelming yet full of possibilities. In exchange for lodging and meals, he has agreed to assist his aunt and cousin in operating their bathhouse and the nearby girls‑only dormitory where he will reside. While heading to meet his family, he strolls past a local high‑school track and becomes captivated by a high jumper honing her form.

Soon, Yamato discovers that the athlete is not merely another dorm resident but his neighbor as well. Suzuka Asahina, a heavily recruited track and field star attending the same school, is instantly put off by Yamato"s awkward, carefree demeanor and struggles to stay close to him. Suzuka's intense training schedule leaves little room for social interaction.

Eager to earn her respect, Yamato joins the track squad after uncovering his latent sprinting ability. His newfound speed earns him a spot on the relay team. Through interactions with teammates, classmates, and the perpetually inebriated college students sharing the dorm, Yamato gains the determination to improve as a runner and become a more fitting partner for Suzuka—even if it requires pushing himself to the brink of fatigue.
