Description

Ko Kitamura, a fifth‑grade student, is the son of the owner of a sporting goods store and often delivers merchandise to the Tsukisima family, who run the neighboring Clover café and baseball training equipment. The families of the business partners are very close, so Ko Kitamura and the four Tsukisima sisters—Itio, Wakaba, Aoba, and Momiji—consider themselves almost relatives. Among them, Ko"s peers Wakaba and Aoba are cheerful and athletic girls; Wakaba prefers swimming while Aoba enjoys baseball. Ko himself constantly trains on the equipment and has become an excellent defender, though he is frankly weak in other aspects of baseball. Ko and Wakaba were born on the same day, and everyone thinks they make a great pair; the girl is absolutely confident about it, and Ko does not object, wisely believing that they should wait until marriage. Unfortunately, those words proved prophetic. The family suffered a terrible tragedy—Wakaba died. But after grieving, her friends and loved ones move on, and the series will depict the lives and relationships of the main characters throughout middle and high school. What will happen to Ko and Aoba—will baseball bring them closer, or will the shadow of the sister forever separate them? Can old friends resist the onslaught of "Varangians," from whom an ambitious coach has decided to create a staged school superteam? Will Itio and Aoba fulfill two very interesting promises? The answers will be given in the "cross game" involving all the characters.
