Although Atsuhiro "Akkun" Kagari is incredibly shy, he has finally won the heart of his ideal girl, the gentle and lovable Non Katagiri. Yet his discomfort with affectionate gestures—from offering compliments to sharing a kiss—makes him behave harshly and even cruelly toward Katagiri in everyday life. Still, Akkun remains a boy in love; he expresses his devotion in his own peculiar ways. By shadowing her to snap photos and listening secretly to her chats, he ends up stalking his own girlfriend. Fortunately Katagiri sees Akkun"s antics as endearing and slightly unsettling, knowing he never truly means his barbs. Even though their close friend Masago Matsuo thinks their relationship feels strange, Katagiri cherishes her sweet tyrant just as he is in their shared moments and the quiet laughter that follows.
