After a mishap in which Masato Inohara hit a baseball that broke the school"s water main, the boys" dormitory suffers partial damage. While a plumber works to fix it, the male students must lodge in the girls" dormitory. To decide who will occupy which rooms, they draw slips from a hat. Because the space is limited, several boys end up without a bed.
When Riki Naoe pulls his slip, it forces him into one of the cramped club rooms. Seeing Riki"s bad luck, a nervous Kudryavka "Kud" Noumi gathers the courage to confront her feelings and asks Riki to stay in her room instead. Despite the other Little Busters constantly teasing them about their relationship, Riki remains with her throughout the summer.
