One hundred years ago, a lone wanderer sealed the immense power of Hoopa—an entity capable of vanquishing legendary Pokémon—inside a glass bottle. He buried the bottle deep within a desert cavern, hoping that the darkness locked inside would never again see daylight. The desert wind howls as the hidden bottle lies forgotten, its glass reflecting myths.
Decades later, a young adventurer discovers the bottle and lifts its curses, freeing the contained force. The released energy manifests as Hoopa"s shadow, which shatters the bottle to prevent any further capture. The shadow unleashes havoc, striking the original Hoopa, while both summon additional legendary beings to aid their duel. The clash draws nearby townsfolk and trainers, who watch in awe as legendary spirits rise.
Satoshi—a Pokémon trainer from Kanto—and his companions become entangled in the melee, and must halt the Pokémon or confront a catastrophic clash of legends. Satoshi's determination is tested as he rallies his friends, each bringing skills to counter forces.
