Kakushi Gotou is a manga creator who has gained some renown for his provocative illustrations. Because of this explicitness, he promised himself that when his daughter Hime arrived, he would conceal his career from her, fearing she would be disappointed upon discovery. This anxious conviction forces Kakushi into frantic predicaments. As a lone parent, he strives to keep his cover intact, even taking drastic measures like posing as an office worker day after day or conducting mock evacuations in case Hime somehow stumbles into his studio. Kakushigoto follows a father and daughter cohabiting, preserving a calm routine while the dad guards his secret. Yet there is an adage: "time uncovers all secrets." Eventually Hime will come to understand the truth behind what she once assumed.
