Two years have elapsed since the Tendoshuu stormed the O‑Edo Central Terminal. Since that moment, the Yorozuya dispersed in different directions. Anticipating Utsuro's comeback, Gintoki Sakata starts mapping Earth's ley lines for clues to the other man's Altana. After confronting the surviving Tendoshuu—who persist in chasing immortality—Gintoki returns to Edo.
Soon, the reunited Shinsengumi and Yorozuya launch an assault on the seized Central Terminal. With the Altana extracted from the wrecked Tendoshuu vessel now poised to explode, the Yorozuya and their comrades battle foes while Edo—and the world—rests on a knife‑edge. Honoring their mentor Shōyō Yoshida, his former pupils unite and revisit past memories once more to safeguard their destinies as the final curtain of history draws near, they pledge to rewrite fate and protect the fragile threads that bind all living beings today.
