When Ivanage Kotoko was only 11 years old, she was kidnapped by yokai for two weeks and asked to become their "Goddess of Wisdom," a mediator between the human world and the spirit world. The girl quickly agreed, but the price for her consent was her right eye and left leg. Six years later, all yokai who have problems flock to her for advice. At that time a 22‑year‑old student Sakuragawa Kuro was dumped by his girlfriend because he ran away, having met a kappu during a joint walk. Kotoko takes advantage of the situation, hoping to marry Kuro. But she quickly realizes that something is wrong with Kuro. Knowing this, she begins to turn to him for help in resolving supernatural conflicts. And not even a minute does she stop hoping that one day her newly minted partner will reciprocate her feelings.
