In contemporary Japan, thirteen‑year‑old Hajime Yasaka relocates to the countryside to live with his grandfather. While en route, a bewildered Hajime stumbles into a café named Ark and instantly becomes enamored with one of the servers, the stunning Sayoko "Arashi" Arashiyama. Initially indifferent toward the boy, Arashi"s demeanor shifts as soon as she takes his hand, convincing herself they share a bond.
It quickly becomes clear that Arashi is far from an ordinary teenager—she is, in fact, the spirit of a girl who died during World II. By touching the man she is linked to, she can step back into the past. Thrilled to have found someone who can activate her gift, Arashi requests Hajime"s help in a mission: rescuing civilians from the horrors of the war that took her life. Enraptured by Arashi, Hajime agrees without hesitation. Yet as their involvement deepens in her history, they realize she is not the sole traveler of time.
