Description

As a child, Jin Mikuria liked to play in an old Shinto shrine beneath the evergreen sacred Nagei. The boy grew up, the shrine was demolished, and the tree was cut down. Amateur artist Jin, who keenly sensed nature and was not alien to the supernatural, begged for a piece of sacred wood so he could carve a statue of a girl from it. Embracing his creation, Jin offered a fervent prayer to the gods, asking them to forgive humanity for its folly. Naturally, a miracle occurred: the piece of wood turned into a beautiful woman named Nagi – an earthly incarnation of the goddess who protects the surrounding lands. Having settled into this new world, Nagi realized that her powers were not sufficient and she would have to fulfill her duties with the active help of a new acquaintance. While meditating on strategies for fighting evil, the goddess did not notice that her bored master turned on the TV and, to his dismay, found himself watching a mahō‑seijē anime. A sign of fate, you see… From then on Nagi decided to live as an ordinary schoolgirl, and in between would fight for love and justice on the entrusted territory, appointing poor Jin as the local Mamoru. Seeing how Nagi entertained herself, her younger sister Zange‑tian, the goddess of neighboring lands, decided to manifest as well. She only watched a different anime and ultimately chose to become a secret pop star in the mortal world. After getting acquainted with this wild comedic‑parodic series by director "Canon‑2006" and "Sudzumi," you will understand that it has strayed far from the classic plot of "Pygmalion."
