In the northern Fiore ranges sits the Ember Village, where a deep‑blue artifact called the Phoenix Gem is kept. It was entrusted to an enigmatic woman named Éclair, who is believed to hold the essence of a long‑dead phoenix. She roams the countryside alone, guarding the gem against danger, even though she cannot recall why it was entrusted to her or exactly where it must be taken.
When Éclair meets the wizard guild Fairy Tail, Natsu Dragneel and his companions offer to aid her in solving the gem"s riddles. Yet midway through their expedition, Éclair is ambushed and the gem is snatched from her. This reveals sinister plans to resurrect the fiery phoenix for its unmatched power, thrusting Fairy Tail into a peril that could doom the world. They must now unite to stop the phoenix"s rebirth and protect all life.
The villagers whisper that only the purest heart can keep it safe, a secret Éclair has never understood. They learn that the phoenix"s flames can heal today.
