During a summer camp trip, seven youngsters are shocked when snow begins to fall in July. Amid the ensuing chaos, each child is given a mysterious gadget that carries them into another realm. Upon awakening there, they meet bizarre beings who introduce themselves as "Digimon." The Digimon explain that the children have arrived in the "Digital World," far from their own.
Armed only with the Digimon and their "Digivices" for defense, the seven kids embark on a quest to return home and uncover why they were summoned. Guided by the impulsive Taichi Yagami and his voracious Digimon companion Agumon, they must confront unseen threats while learning more about this strange Digital World.
