Reports of mysterious entities known as "Hologram Ghosts" have emerged as a popular subject on social media platforms for several years. According to circulating rumors, numerous individuals have reportedly fallen victim to these elusive phantoms, while those who survived describe the apparitions as flickering, glitch‑like holograms.
Hiro Amanokawa, a middle‑school student at Hazakura Academy, dismisses these accounts as nothing more than urban folklore. However, as the frequency of incidents climbs, he cannot shake the memory of the day his father disappeared abruptly, leaving behind only strange digital watches as the sole remnants of that loss. Much like other sightings, the circumstances surrounding his father"s vanishing defy conventional explanation.
When a fellow student is suddenly attacked by a Hologram Ghost, Hiro and his friend Kiyoshirou Higashimitarai decide to investigate the phenomenon. Unbeknownst to Hiro, this investigation will serve as their first step toward uncovering a perilous world that has remained hidden from humanity until now, in the shadows of reality.
