Angered by people's disdainful attitude toward the world ocean, young Ika Musume—i.e., Squid Girl—rises from the depths and emerges onto land to conquer and harshly punish humanity. For an offensive she needs a forward base, so Ika, slightly camouflaged, decided to start with the first beach café that fell under her tentacles. Problems arose then—the local manager, Eika Aizawa, a sharp and practical woman—upon hearing the guest"s manifesto immediately assigned her to work as a waitress, reasonably remarking that if Ika cannot handle 30 customers, how could she possibly conquer Earth? Thus the messenger of the depths remained a waitress, and attempts to bully led to the discovery that one should not anger Tidzuru, Aizawa"s older sister, who looks very much like Bellandi. Ika had to settle in a new harbor with Eika, Tidzuru and their younger brother Takeo, consoling herself that she was "studying the likely adversary more deeply." Poor thing didn"t know that Sergeant Kairoro had long proven—such actions only lead to moral disarmament and a decline in fighting spirit. Soon, besides the owners" family, their friends, neighbors, and then all beach residents were drawn into the study, who greatly enjoyed "spaghetti with squid ink!"
