Tomoko Kuroki entered high school full of hope – she was sure that now she would finally learn how to communicate with people and become popular! The gods did not reward her with a model"s face or figure, but she isn"t ugly either – she"s just average. Her little brother, a year younger, is the same night‑time gamer and also excels in sports, having no trouble with his peers. The main heroine, however, has a clinical case of unfixable pessimism. Before she even starts speaking, she immediately calculates the situation five moves ahead to the worst possible outcome and instantly freezes. As a result, Tomoko can only speak calmly with her family and the one friend named Yu – that"s it. Why live like this when she can"t even talk to a crush, let alone her classmate? As soon as the unfortunate Tomo tried to fight her complexes! She wanted to change herself – it didn"t work. Trying to train with her friend and brother was useless. With sorrow, she plunged headfirst into the whirlpool of Harajuku"s nightlife – there everything somehow worked out. So the poor girl was left to sink into a whirlpool of sweet delusions, stare at hentai sites and wander through arcade games. In anime it"s easy and simple to find friends and become a star, but in real life Tomoko seems doomed to remain a living example for young viewers… and not entirely young ones too!
