Amano shares his life with wife Onibaba, the striking teenage daughter Yukiko, and elementary‑age son Takobo. Onibaba is a domineering, brutal woman who routinely scolds and physically assaults her husband, relishing the torment she inflicts; Yukiko and Takobo often participate in both physical and psychological abuse toward him.
