Licca Kayama thinks of herself as just an ordinary ten‑year‑old; she lives in a calm Japanese suburb with her mother and grandmother, spending her days at school and playing with classmates. Still, the two adults who care for her have withheld a crucial secret: Licca is actually the heir of an invisible Doll Kingdom. Their arrival brings hope and courage to Licca, who must now embrace her destiny.
During a field trip to the nearby museum, Licca and her companions are abruptly attacked by the menacing Scarecrow and his cohorts. Deployed by the sinister new rulers of the Doll Kingdom, these cruel agents will use every spell known to try to seize the young princess. Licca"s sole salvation arrives in the form of the Doll Knights—former powerful protectors of royalty, now the only force capable of confronting the darkness that has overrun her ancestral realm.
