Upon returning to Konohagakure, the young shinobi cheer after defeating a squad of presumed Akatsuki operatives. Yet Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno feel differently. Naruto envies the families of his congratulating comrades, yearning for his own parents to be present. Sakura resents her embarrassing parents and wishes she had none at all. Their opposing views clash, but a more urgent issue arises when the masked Madara Uchiha abruptly appears and carries them into an alternate realm.
In that realm, Sakura"s parents are hailed as heroes—they sacrificed themselves to shield Konohagakure from the Nine‑Tailed Fox assault a decade earlier. Consequently, Naruto"s parents, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, are alive and thriving. Unable to return home or locate the masked Madara, Naruto and Sakura remain in this new world, relishing the changes they had always desired. All appears fine for the two shinobi until an unforeseen menace forces Naruto and Sakura to defend this alternate Konohagakure while also seeking a path back to their original world. They quickly learn that the new world"s politics differ significantly, and alliances must be forged with unexpected allies.
