Yamato, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sai are tasked with capturing Mukade, a rogue ninja hunting the ancient chakra Ryuumyaku beneath the Rouran ruins. Though the Fourth Hokage sealed the Ryuumyaku, the team cannot stop Mukade from unleashing its power. A powerful burst of energy then engulfs Naruto and Yamato before they can flee.
