Chinmi is a young Chinese boy who dedicates himself to martial arts. News of his prowess spreads among the kung‑fu masters at the renowned ancient Dailin temple, who invite him to train there. With hard work and the tutelage of his instructors, Chinmi rises to become one of the temple"s leading pupils. When the moment arrives, he departs Dailin to embark on a pilgrimage. During his travels he confronts numerous perils that challenge his abilities, yet he encounters many individuals who motivate him in various ways. A humbled yet resolute Chinmi returns to Dailin for further instruction, but soon his talents are called upon again—the Mongol forces approach the ancient temple for their defense.
