After a socially awkward technology specialist, Manabu "Gaku" Taira, is rescued from a group of thugs by the outgoing Haru Tennouji, the two men quickly discover that they complement each other"s personalities. The incident sparks a friendship that deepens over the years, and Gaku remains hesitant to pursue job opportunities because of his shyness. One day, Haru encourages him to apply together for a position at Dragon Bank, one of Japan"s largest IT firms.
During the interview process, board director Kirika Kokuryuu becomes intrigued by Haru"s boldness and Gaku"s reserved nature. However, Gaku is not offered a role, prompting Haru to resign on his first day in protest. Undeterred, the pair decide to pursue an ambitious goal: creating a trillion‑dollar venture.
To realize this plan, Haru and Gaku search for investors, but every potential backer rejects their extravagant idea. Eventually, they receive an unexpected proposal from Kirika—her investment could finally bring their dream to fruition. Their determination and Kirika"s support set the stage for a financial endeavor.
