The notorious Shounen Bat is wreaking havoc on Musashino City. Zooming around on rollerblades and smashing people with a gleaming golden baseball bat, the perpetrator appears impossible to apprehend—much less comprehend. His first victim, the famed yet shy character designer Tsukiko Sagi, is suspected of masterminding the assaults. Only her anthropomorphic pink plush Maromi believes it; Tsukiko is just one of many victims.
As Shounen Bat keeps hammering the town, detectives Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa start probing his identity. Yet more citizens fall prey to the infamous golden bat, and whispers of the criminal spread through the community. Fear creeps in as unsettling rumors circulate among adults and kids alike.
Can the two detectives uncover the truth behind Shounen Bat, or will paranoia consume them first?
