The Dead Moon Circus has landed in Juban with the aim of freeing their queen, Nehellenia, by pilfering the Legendary Silver Crystal. Employing "Lemures," the troupe turns people"s dreams into nightmares, amassing energy to cast Earth into darkness and transform it into a realm of death. To halt the Circus, Usagi Tsukino and her allies must resume their duties as the Inner Sailor Guardians.
After a total solar eclipse, Mamoru Chiba abruptly becomes ill; Usagi and Chibiusa meet Helios, a pegasus who insists that unlocking the Golden Crystal is the sole means to protect their world from looming danger. At the same time, the Sailor Guardians find they can no longer transform post‑eclipse and fall prey to the Circus" Lemures. Will they regain their powers in time to stop the encroaching gloom?
