Centuries before the present day, confection‑enthusiast Princess Chizuru Ooshima diligently readied herself for the English proficiency test. To keep her concentration sharp, Lord Shogun prohibited all sweets throughout Edo. At the same time, conflict brewed between two influential clans: the Mizutani faction, commanded by esteemed Shizuku "Ane‑san" Mizutani; and the Yoshida faction, led by the whimsical Haru "Harunosuke" Yoshida.
Ane‑san persistently sought to contact Harunosuke, intending to announce the establishment of a new temple academy. Yet shortly after their encounter by chance, affection blossomed between them. Nevertheless, many disapproved of this union—and they would go to great lengths to thwart their joy against all odds, for their future together today.
