Shiny Tiaki is an incredibly gifted violinist who dreams of a conducting career, but his fierce fear of airplanes (and steamships) prevents him from going to study in Europe. At the music academy he is a star and the dream of all girls (and more), yet Tiaki himself thinks only about how to achieve greater mastery. Megumi Noda also became famous as a careless and lazy student who cannot even play by the notes properly. However, there is something in her playing that made the picky Tiaki pay attention to this strange girl… "Nodame Cantabile" is the most musical anime, falling in love with classical music and the sound of a symphonic orchestra. The plot"s basis is the professional development of musicians, as well as the story of a young symphonic orchestra; each episode is dedicated to some work, composer, performance nuances, instrument, and so on. Here issues of talent and career are touched upon, many "technical" questions are revealed, while the series remains both realistic and funny, with room for dramatic and parodic moments. But the main thing is music, which can become a meaning of life.
