Yukihisa Matsuda, chief conductor of the Rising Star Orchestra, lands in Paris to lead Wagner's Tannhäuser Overture as a guest conductor for the Recyl Symphony Orchestra. While Matsuda listens to the orchestra applaud Shinichi Chiaki, the emerging Japanese maestro of the Roux-Marlet Orchestra, he struggles to hide his disdain for yet another 'Black-Haired Noble' sharing the city in Paris. After being jilted by his lover post‑performance, Matsuda spots Chiaki and invites him for drinks while feigning a career conversation in the city. Yet to Chiaki's dismay, the topic quickly shifts toward his own beloved in Paris.
