Leaving their hometowns behind, two young women who share the same name find themselves drawn together as they chase fresh starts. Both set their sights on Tokyo: Nana Komatsu longs for a joyous romance, while Nana Osaki pursues a thriving music career.
Nana Komatsu is bright and affable, yet her innocent outlook has misdirected her love life until she encounters the reliable Shouji Endo. Though disappointed when he chooses to study in Tokyo, she perseveres, working diligently to save enough and join him. Meanwhile, Nana Osaki is a lone punk singer whose passionate affair with her band's bassist Ren Honjou abruptly ends. Despite the heartbreak, she resolves to move to the capital with a goal of gaining recognition as an artist.
Soon after arriving, fate brings them together again, and they end up sharing a living space. Their shared name becomes a symbol of destiny, reminding them that even strangers can find kinship in pursuit of dreams. They learn to trust one another, sharing hopes and fears over coffee. As their bond deepens, both support each other while navigating the challenges of building new futures.
