Once, a young man entered Kyoto University and plunged headfirst into the lively and carefree student life. But he chose the wrong club, then a wrong friend, and fell into the hands of the malicious Ozu, nicknamed "the first provocateur of Kyoto." The unnamed hero was swept into a whirlpool of endless mischiefs—both harmless and cruel—and lost control over his life. When he woke up, he realized he was already in his third year—what"s the point? He had no friends, didn"t want to reminisce about the "fun life," and the only girl he wanted to get close to had been taken by a personal evil genius. But then the gods—who, as it turns out, mostly live in Kyoto—gave the young man a chance. One of them, whom the unnamed hero met at a ramen shop one night, offered to help him in life and with his chosen one—Akashi‑san—provided the young man actively tries. Gods incline, but do not force; one must personally catch the blue luck bird by its tail. In short, hope for an "infinite eight," but don"t mess up yourself!
