Hatsunejima teems with enigmas—among them the old town"s cherry trees reputed to bestow wishes. Its streets are lined with lanterns that brightly glow softly in the twilight, and locals whisper of a hidden shrine. Whispers also circulate of individuals with powers, such as Junichi Asakura, who can glimpse strangers" dreams and conjure confections from nothing. Together with his sister Nemu, he lives with friends at Kazami Academy keeps his powers hidden.
His routine ends when Sakura returns from the United States after six years. She is there solely to honor vows she once made with Junichi. Her return brings with it a sense of anticipation, as friends and rivals watch to see how promise will unfold. Unbeknownst, Sakura"s arrival will alter everyone"s fate—for better or worse.
