Ebichu the hamster appears to be an ideal indoor companion: she tidies, shops, cooks, does laundry, and anything that satisfies her owner, known simply as "Office Lady" (OL). Sadly, OL and her unfaithful partner, together with Ebichu"s boundless energy and craving for ice cream, frequently provoke harsh and bloody retribution. Yet Ebichu seems unconcerned by the torment as long as she succeeds in brightening her cherished master even slightly.
